Who it's for

For knees, hips and backs that have earned some care

01

Over 60 and want to keep moving

Joints, balance and breath get steady, safe work. Students in their 70s practise here.

02

Recovering from surgery or managing pain

Knees, hips and backs are worked gently, with the chair taking the load. Tell the teacher what’s going on and the class adapts.

03

Can't, or won't, get down to the floor

Every pose is done seated or standing. No kneeling, no getting up and down.

What to expect

What a chair class looks like

1

Settle into the chair

Feet flat, spine tall, a few slow breaths.

2

Gentle warm-up

Neck, shoulders, wrists, ankles: small circles and easy movement.

3

Seated stretches

Hips, hamstrings, spine and chest, all from the chair, with blocks or a strap where they help.

4

Standing with support

Balance and leg strength with the chair as an anchor. Skip anything that doesn’t feel right.

5

Breath and rest

A calm close, seated, so you leave steadier than you arrived.

Ready when you are. The live schedule shows this week’s classes and teachers, and booking takes about a minute.

What students say

In their own words

She's 70 years old, recovering from knee surgery, and dealing with sciatic nerve pain--and she had never done yoga before. The instructors have all been incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, which made such a difference in helping her feel comfortable and confident.
